ASU/CdS Wind Ensemble Concert - Mon. Nov 24

The CdS Wind Ensemble (6th Hour band) will perform a joint Concert with the outstanding ASU Wind Symphony, directed by Dr. Jamal Duncan, on Monday, November 24 in the CdS Auditorium. The concert is FREE and starts at 7:30 pm. The concert will feature a lot of highlights, including a Electric Guitar concerto with the ASU Band, a trumpet solo by the amazing Joe Burgstaller (professor of trumpet at ASU), and a combined consortium premiere featuring the combined ASU and CdS Bands.

Schedule:

  • During 6th hour - CdS Wind Ensemble Dress Rehearsal on Stage

  • 3 pm - 5 pm - ASU Wind Symphony Dress Rehearsal on Stage (open rehearsal - CdS students can watch!)

  • 5 pm - CdS Wind Ensemble Call Time (in concert uniform); ASU Small Ensemble performances and master classes

  • 6 pm - Pizza dinner served, provided by ASU

  • 6:45 pm - ASU/CdS combined rehearsal on stage for “A Hornet’s Nest”

  • 7:15 pm - Doors open to spectators, reset stage

  • 7:30 pm - Concert Starts (order - CdS Wind Ensemble, ASU Wind Symphony, Combined Bands)

  • Approx 9 pm - Concert finishes, Wind Ensemble clears off stage and returns items to band room, Dance starts setting up
