Marching Band

All events are REQUIRED for Marching Band students. All students are required to take the bus to and from events. However, if there is a situation where a parent needs to drive their student to an event or after an event, please fill out and turn in this form to Mr. DuPlessis at least two weeks prior to an event. Students cannot drive themselves to or from any marching events. Clear bag policy is in effect for all CdS Football Games and many other venues.

  • Thurs. Oct 8 - Fri. Oct 9 - CdS Band Mini-Camp (at Corona) - Students must attend ALL rehearsals of Mini-Camp to perform at the CdS Invitational on Oct. 10

  • Sat. Oct. 10 - CdS “Crown of the Sun” Invitational

  • Sat. Oct. 17 - Mountain Ridge Invitational

  • Oct. 23-25 - Bands of America Regional Championship in California (schedule coming soon!)

  • TUES. Oct 27 - Millennium Invitational

  • Fri. Nov. 6 - AWAY Football Game vs. Desert Vista (Call Time: 4 pm)

  • Sat. Nov. 7 - AZ State Marching Band Semifinals at Desert Vista (Schedule will be available on Nov. 1 - plan for an afternoon call time, and an evening performance)

  • Sat. Nov. 21 - AZ State Marching Band Championships at Glendale Community College (Schedule will be available on Nov. 10 - plan for an afternoon call time, and an evening performance)

Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, Percussion Ensembles

All events are REQUIRED for ensembles in which the student performs in during their class. All events are in the Corona del Sol Auditorium, unless otherwise noted. Clear bag policy is in effect for all auditorium events.

  • Wed. 9/23 - Middle School Recruiting Concert (6th Hour Wind Ensemble only, with MS Bands) - 6:30 pm Concert starts (FREE Concert)

  • Thurs. 9/24 - Fall Band Concert (ALL Concert Bands) - 6 pm Call Time in Concert Uniform, Group Photos, Concert starts at 7 pm

  • Tues. 10/20 - Percussion Fall Concert (1st Hour Percussion, 2nd Hour Percussion, 6th Hour Percussion, Steel Band, 3rd Hour Advanced Guitar) - Call Time TBA, Doors Open for Spectators at 6:30 pm, Concert Starts at 7 pm. Tickets $11 (link coming soon)

  • Wed 12/9 and Thurs 12/10- Concert Bands combined “Zero Hour” required rehearsals (1st, 2nd, and 6th hour bands) - 200 points per rehearsal. 6:15 am - in chairs on stage ready to play. Done by 7:15 am.

  • Thurs. 12/10 - Band and Percussion Holiday Concert; Holiday Pre-Concert Dinner in Cafeteria with Jazz Bands (All Concert Bands, All Percussion Classes, All Guitar Classes, Jazz Bands)

    • Jazz call time 4:40 pm

    • Holiday Dinner and Jazz Performance 5 pm (BUY TICKETS HERE - Dinner Meal price includes free concert admission!)

    • Concert Bands Call Time 6:30 pm in Band Room; Guitar and Percussion on Stage

    • Doors Open to Spectators at 6:30 pm (BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE HERE - if only going to concert and not the dinner)

  • Wed. 2/24 - Area Jazz Festival at Dobson HS (Jazz Band 1) - schedule TBA. FREE to the public.

  • Mon. 3/1 - ABODA Area Concert Festival, hosted at CdS (All Concert Bands and Orchestras - times TBA) - FREE to the public

  • Tues. 3/2 - Spring Band Concert (ALL Concert Bands) - Call Time at CdS 6:15 pm, Doors Open for Spectators at 6:30 pm, Concert Starts at 7 pm.

  • Thurs. 3/4 - Jazz Bands Concert (All Jazz Bands) - Jazz 1 Call Time 5:30 pm, Jazz 2 Call Time 6:15 pm, Concert Starts 7 pm

  • Tues. 3/30 - Percussion Spring Concert (1st Hour Percussion, 2nd Hour Percussion, 6th Hour Percussion, Steel Band, 3rd Hour Advanced Guitar) - Call Time TBA, Doors Open for Spectators at 6:30 pm, Concert Starts at 7 pm. Tickets $11 (link coming soon)

  • Wed. 3/31 - Music Under the Stars - Tempe Diablo Stadium (call time/schedule TBA, concert starts 7 pm) - ALL Concert Bands and Steel Band (FREE Concert)

  • Tues. 4/20 - State Jazz Festival (Scottsdale Community College - Jazz Band 1) - Schedule TBA. FREE to the public.

  • Thurs. 4/29 - ABODA State Concert Festival (6th Hour Wind Ensemble) - at Chandler Center for the Arts (most likely a late afternoon/early evening time) - FREE to the public

  • April/May (Date TBA) - Jazz Bands Concert at THE NASH jazz club in Downtown Phoenix

  • Tues. 5/11 - Year-End Jazz Bands Concert - Pueblo MS Amphitheatre (w/ Pueblo MS Jazz Band)

  • Wed 5/19 and Thurs 5/20- Concert Bands combined “Zero Hour” required rehearsals (1st, 2nd, and 6th hour bands) - 200 points per rehearsal. 6:15 am - in chairs on stage ready to play. Done by 7:15 am.

  • Thurs. 5/20 - Band and Percussion Pops Concert (All Concert Bands, All Percussion Classes) - Concert Bands Call Time 6:30 pm; Doors Open to Spectators at 6:30 pm, Concert Starts at 7 pm.

  • Thurs. 5/27 - Graduation (6th hour Wind Ensemble, 1st Hour Symphonic Band, 2nd Hour Freshmen Concert Band - all Non-Senior members will perform) - CdS Football Stadium. Call Time 5:15 pm, Event Starts 7 pm, Done approx 8:15 pm
