A Busy 3rd Quarter!

• Thanks to everyone who volunteered for All-State Jazz Auditions! Congrats to the SIX students from Corona del Sol who made the AZ ALL STATE JAZZ BANDS! (the most from any one school in the state, and the most in school history!) Come see Luke, Pete, Will, Blaise, Griffin, and Silas perform an AMAZING Concert at the Mesa Arts Center on Thursday January 29. Click here to order tickets!

• Solo/Ensemble Festival is rapidly approaching! (Sat Jan 17 at Highland HS) If you signed up, please check your emails for more info. Don’t forget to dress nice, bring your original score (numbered) for the judge, and arrive about an hour early to Highland HS to sign in with your PHOTO ID.

• Good luck to our STEEL BAND who are going on tour to our elementary schools and to Disneyland on Jan 15-18!

• We are excited for the special Wind Ensemble honor concert at the Arizona Music Educators Association (AMEA) Annual Conference (Fri Jan 30). This a BIG DEAL for the student performers - our group was the only high school concert band to be selected for this featured performance that will be attended by hundreds of music teachers, band directors, industry officials, and administrators from around the state. We want all families to know that YOU ARE INVITED to attend this special performance at the Mesa Convention Center on Friday January 30 (9:30 - 10:30 am). Parents and family members can attend for free. We will share the concert with the outstanding Campo Verde HS Orchestra. We will be perform a wide variety of music - even one that will feature a professional opera singer! You won't want to miss this one.

  • Also later that day, Mrs. Werner's Brisas ES Mallet Masters will be featured at 11:30 am, and Mrs. DuPlessis' Pueblo MS Symphonic Band will be featured with the amazing Rincon/University HS Jazz Band at 12:30 pm.
